Dealing with carpet stains needs proper care and concern

Carpet shampoo
Carpet shampoo is one of the oldest ways to clean carpets. As it does not require any professional help and is do yourself job. In this method, a carpet cleaning shampoo or solution is applied on the carpet to form foam. The ingredients of the foam attract the soil particles in the carpet. The solution is left to dry and once it dries the solution becomes brittle and separates itself from the carpet fibers. Now, the remains are collected with the help of a vacuum cleaner.
Shaving Cream
White foam shaving cream gets almost all stains out. It is very inexpensive and gets almost all stains out. Dampen the stain with a little water and then spray the shaving cream on it and work it in with a damp cloth. Scrub the stain well with the shaving cream and then keep rinsing the scrubbing cloth in a bowl of water (to start getting some of the shaving cream out) and you will work most stains out.
Detergent solution
A detergent solution can be made of hand soap or dish soap. The combination is one quarter of a teaspoon of detergent to one quart of water. Make sure the soap does not contain bleach or lanolin. Blot the stain with white paper towels to remove as much of the solution as possible. Apply detergent solution from a spray bottle and rub the area, after that blot out the stain and detergent.
Ammonia solution
One teaspoon of clear, household type ammonia to a half of a cup of water, this solution can be used in a spray bottle or be applied to the carpet directly. It is important not to wet the carpets backing when apply. After applying solution, use white paper towels to blot. Allow to dry completely.
