Coldplay Tickets - Audience Lights Up During Mylo Xyloto Tour
Classified as alternative rock, Coldplay has been creating a unique sound that separates the band from everyone else in the music industry
. Since arriving on the music scene in 1999, Coldplay has recorded and released five albums, each one incorporating their individual rock style led by the piano and vocal styling of Chris Martin. Whenever they perform, audiences are captivated by the energy they bring to the stage, even for songs like "Yellow" and "Shiver". Their sound and talent is undeniable which is why Coldplay has steadily increased their fan base since their first album, Parachutes.
No matter what city they are in or what country they are performing in, Coldplay tickets always sell well because the band is recognized as being one of the best rock bands around, on par with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Incubus. Now that they are on tour again to support Mylo Xyloto, fans everywhere are making the trip to see them no matter what concert venue they are performing at.
Forming, Parachutes, and the Future
Like many other great rock bands, Coldplay was formed by friends in high school. While attending University College London, Jonny Buckland and Chris Martin met and formed a band during their first year in university. Later, Guy Berryman would join the band, then called Pectoralz. Soon enough, the band picked up a manager in Phil Harvey, but eventually recruited him as another member of the band. After having performed a couple of times, the band settled on the name Coldplay to replace their previous name.
Coldplay recorded their Safety EP in 1998 and released 500 copies of it. One of the record companies that heard the EP, Fierce Panda, picked the band up and signed them. Then in 1999, Coldplay released their second EP, Brothers and Sisters. After completing college, Coldplay was signed to another record company, Parlophone, and subsequently recorded The Blue Room, the band's third EP.
While their EPs failed to bring them a hit song, their debut album, Parachutes, did with the song "Shiver". Shortly thereafter, Coldplay released another single, "Yellow", which was a smash hit in the UK and in the US. Their 2000 debut album charted extremely well on the Billboard charts and even garnered the group several award nominations and even a few wins. In 2002, Coldplay released their second studio album, A Rush of Blood to the Head, which did just as well as Parachutes, and elevated their status in the rock and music world alike. Unlike their first album, Coldplay took their time to record their next album, as well as X&Y and Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends. They have taken the queue from other famous bands like Linkin Park and Incubus, and take a couple of years in between albums to reflect, write, and record.
The newest album from Coldplay, Mylo Xyloto, released in 2011, has prompted the band to go back on the road and tour internationally. They have performed both in festivals and in concert venues specifically for them. Coldplay's shows involved plenty of light effects and a lot of rock energy.
