Coming Soon - The New Motorola Milestone 2
The original Motorola Milestone was released last year and proved a huge success
both in the UK and the US, despite the handset having one or two major flaws.
These were namely the keypad which was very difficult to use and the processor, which even at its time of release was outdated. The new Motorola Milestone 2 looks destined to be a bigger success thanks to the manufacturers sticking to a fairly similar format, but ironing out these mentioned problems. The screen on the Milestone to is a WVGA 3.7" display. Capable of displaying a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, it produces clear and vivid images, thanks in part to the massive 16 million colours that it is capable of displaying. It is a capacitive TFT screen which supports multi touch, so great features such as pinch and zoom and also included. The phone incorporates an accelerometer chip to facilitate any auto rotate functions that are needed. When the screen is held in landscape mode, the slider design Qwerty keypad slides down from behind the screen. This keypad has seen some improvements over the previous model. The trackpad that was found on the original Milestone has been replaced with cursor buttons, which has also made room for the size of the keys to be increased. Thanks to this the keypad is now one of the key selling points of this handset, it is very easy to used and certainly makes the composition of texts and mail a very easy affair. The phone has also seen a huge increase in the internal memory that comes supplied. A satisfying 8GB is in built, providing ample storage space for the average phone user. Cleverly, Motorola have still included the micro SD card slot for those who still require that little bit more storage, especially useful for holding the HD video footage you shoot on the phone.

Motorola Milestone 2 is a very attractive feature. Shooting images in 720P HD resolution at 30 frames per second, the results look as clear as you would expect on the phones excellent screen, or even when played back on a home HD television. Fans of still photography will be pleased with the camera facility. This boasts a resolution of 5 mega pixels which is more than adequate for a camera phone. Autofocus means you can always be assured of a clear picture, and features such as the digital zoom and dual LED flash means that regardless of the situation you are in, you you have the tools to ensure your photos look as clear as possible. A great audio player can handle a host of file formats include MP3, WAV and eAAC+. Those looking to use the phone as a music player will appreciate the 3.5mm stereo jack plug, allowing you to plug your own choice of headphones into the handset.
