This organization was founded in 1922 by the University of London that later included other unions of the University of Burningham, and Birkbeck College.

All participants of UK student unions can join the National Union of Students. But in order to become an honorable member of this organization, communities should pay for it. The payment depends on the number of students and the amount of money held by a particular union.


Now the Union has about 700 members, including the University of Dundee, University of Glasgow, and Imperial College of London.
