Although it did not really do well as expected, it did so much better than how it would without the $80 price cut-off. That was one of the rockiest and the most difficult times for the Japanese company because of the plummeting sales.

There is no way that they could take another screw up this year so they are making sure that everything is well taken care of before the launch of their new console. The completely new Wii U GamePad was officially announced during last year's E3 gaming event. In this year's most recent E3 game convention, hardcore gamers and fans were able to have a first hands-on experience with the new gaming system.

Perhaps this could be a very appealing year for the Japanese gaming company. Being more careful with details and information prior to the release of the new console is very important for them.

They choose not to confirm and comment on any issues that deal with the new hardware. That way, they will be able to keep everything intact and in control until its official launch by the last quarter of the year.

Also, there is nothing much to worry about profit issues anymore. The company's CEO promised that the new console will be priced reasonably this time. When we say reasonable, it doesn't necessarily mean cheap. It will be priced accordingly so that consumers will get their money's worth with it.
