In order to get someone to buy my car it is important that I get the confidence of the buyer. There are a few easy things that make this a lot easier than it would be otherwise. This can be things like making sure you ask the right questions, ensuring your family members are aware that you are trying to sell the car so they don't put their foot in their mouth when answering the phone and letting the buyer know a few things that may be disadvantageous with purchasing the vehicle. The last thing may seem like something that would be detrimental and it can be if not used correctly. Otherwise, it is actually showing the buyer you care about them and want them to make the right decision.

If someone wants to buy my car and are over excited about the prospect, I like to bring them down to earth before they make the decision. Excitement can soon turn to resentment with some people. By telling the buyer why the car might not be good for them will make them look at the purchase rationally for a few seconds before taking the plunge. This will help you avoid an angry buyer a few days down the track if something is wrong with the car. If you have notified them about any specific problem that may arise before the unthinkable happens then it can go a long way to save you from litigation or an unnecessarily angered buyer.
