Cons Of Online Education..!!

In the resent times a new concept of online education has emerged up and has spurted well so far

. This new concept has attracted millions of pairs of eyeballs all around the world. While most of the people are excited about the great advantages that it offers to the students there is a significant bunch of people who see it from a critics point of view. Being an unbiased writer I thought of typing down some of the cons of online education. While opting for it you must also keep these points in head too, along with the advantages.

Below are some of the cons of online education-

1. Adversity of time flexibility: The great advantage of online education turns out to be a huge setback in practicality. In online education a student can access the course whenever he/she wants as it is available 24c7. This feature should be used as an advantage but that is not the case. In most of the cases, students tend to develop a laidback attitude. They often postponed their home study sessions. Ultimately they either have to pursue a lot in one go or they leave some sessions undone which ultimately degrades the efficiency of online learning.

2. Monotonous presentation: The layout of the online courses plays a very critical role in online education. These courses are either embedded videos, or similar to power point presentation, coming slide by slide. In both of the above mentioned layouts the training session becomes quite monotonous. Many course providers include an animated instructor on the screen which most of the times turn out to be quite annoying.

3. Low level of recognition: Despite the fact that online education has been ballooning at a very fast rate ever since its introduction, it is not very well recognized throughout the world. This is a major negative aspect of online education. People are not very much aware about the online mode of education. As of today, not many of the employers are aware of it. They prefer an applicant with traditional setting educational background over one who had pursued online training.

4. Poor mentoring: Yet another setback for online education is that mentoring is significantly poor in online education as compared to the traditional mode. While pursuing a course if a student has doubt, there are very less options for him to clear his doubts. He can ask the mentors online but that is neither very effective nor spontaneous. The mentors come online for a short period on a pre scheduled time. They cant clear the doubts of thousands of students in a short time and even if they try to clear doubts of few, it is neither very effective nor convincing.

5. Huge time consumption over social networking: Students interact with other students pursuing the same course through social networking in order to clear their doubts and brainstorm over some issues. However this discussion is not facilitated by any senior or responsible person and hence students often indulge in rubbish and out of the context chats which wastes a lot of precious time.
