Consider Luxury Transportation For Your Wedding!

This past summer was full of weddings for my spouse and me

, and we loved being part of every celebration! It was particularly fun to participate in the little reception departure ceremonies each couple had planned. Two couples used sparklers as part of the send-off, and more than a few nuptials included limo service for their getaway. In the beauty of the southern California summer, I was reminded of my own San Diego wedding, so I want to particularly be of use to you So-Cal knot-tiers.

Have you and your intended planned your sendoff yet? This is often the most memorable part of the wedding for your guests, so deciding how to get everyone involved can make a big difference. Here are a few things to consider as you put the finishing touches on the big moments for your reception.

First, I want to speak to the Latter-day Saint brides (and grooms!) getting sealed in the temple in La Jolla. While a wedding limo in San Diego may be able to pick you up right at the front doors, the temple does have certain policies dictating what is appropriate on the grounds themselves, though you may be able to have your San Diego luxury transportation pick you up outside the gates. To get the skinny, go ahead and phone them. Wedding coordinators at the temple will be glad to answer any questions you have.

Many couples going for the fairy tale element like to rent carriages or coaches for the big event, which present fantastic photo opportunities, but bear in mind that when it comes to luxury transportation, they aren't very practical. A friend of mine who utilized one such rental service says that the carriage took them to a fast food restaurant around the corner, where they picked up their car and drove themselves to the resort at which they had booked their night's stay.

So, bear that in mind. If you plan on drinking at all during your reception, having your limo service in San Diego prepared to drive you will keep you safe as well as serve the basic transportation function.

What about your guests' role in the getaway? As I mentioned before, the use of sparklers has become incredibly popular, but remember that there is slight risk in using them. Having a reception coordinator to assist in handing them out and lighting them is vital to create the desired effect. Having everyone blow bubbles from individual tubes or throw rice (check local laws about this) are fine options, too.

Ultimately, this will be the most memorable day of your life, no matter how you make your getaway. But embellishing it doesn't hurt, either!
