Construction Begins On New Health Centre For East Sussex

Construction has started on a much needed purpose built healthcare facility for the community of East Sussex in the UK.

When complete, The Meads Medical Centre will provide improved access to modern healthcare services via a new state of the art primary care medical centre with integrated pharmacy, at West Park in Uckfield, East Sussex.

The 10,400 sq ft, predominately two storey building is being developed by MedicX, a leading UK developer and investor of healthcare premises. Planning and construction has already began, and the new health care centre is expected to be completed in March 2013 alleviating the current strain placed on local healthcare services.

The GP practice of Dr Walbrook and Partners currently situated in Grange Road will relocate to the new premises, which will be situated in landscaped grounds with 35 car parking spaces and will benefit from a new spacious and airy space with the modern healthcare services essential to the local community in East Sussex.

Tony Coke, Primary Care Property Director at MedicX, commented:
