A four-stage process collects rising gases, separates and removes the grease, contains odors and traps smoke. The activated carbon bed offers 50 times more exposure and removal of odors than traditional flat carbon mats found in most ductless hoods, according to the company. Furthermore, the Vent-A-Hood proprietary microfiber filter snuffs out the smoke.
