Cpa Marketing | Can You Be Helped?

I know this seems like a really silly question..

. but do you believe help is possible?

Idiotic as the question may appear, it will instantly reveal the degree to which most tax professionals and CPA's have been disappointed in reaching their objectives in acquiring new clients.

Obviously, anyone who does anything or tries to achieve something will face failure to SOME degree. It's not possible to succeed with every marketing plan or idea the first time you try to implement it.

Experience needs to be attained from some new project so that things can be debugged and adjusted until every step of the way works sufficiently to produce the desired results.

Disappointment and failure in achieving the desired results poison our belief that this goal is achievable or at all possible. The human reaction to failure is to become cynical about the subject in which one hasn't succeeded.

The more cynical we become, the less we believe that anyone or anything could help us to achieve "the impossible." And this in turn makes us suspect any offer of help. If "help isn't possible" then anyone offering it must be trying to hoodwink or bamboozle us, right?

True enough, the only person on whose help you can fully rely on is YOU. And yet, disappointments will keep you from opening that same can of worms again unless you realize something important about the anatomy of failure:

There is no such thing as complete failure. The average failure is made out of more than 50% of success but still contains too much unworkable to produce the desired result.

If you tried to acquire new accounting or tax clients but didn't, you can BET that you did a LOT of things absolutely right...and only just a few too many not right "enough" to produce the desired result.

It's just not possible to do anything absolutely wrong.

Equally, acquiring some new clients does NOT require that you do everything absolutely RIGHT, either. You only need to do MORE things right than not to succeed in obtaining a new client!

You don't have long to go from apparent "total failure" to a total success. It's not far at all. It's only because our mind refuses to fail again that it closes the door to it being possible to succeed in the subject.

Knowledge is the key to success. Why? Well, if you know what business owners want, feel, think, like, dislike, fear, and so on... and if you have full certainty on how to make them see the benefits of your service...

Then you know how to succeed.

You can help yourself by helping yourself to the knowledge and certainty. That's all -- just acquire the knowledge.

No one asks you to DO anything. That'll come once you have the knowledge. Before doing (and even before planning) anything you need to acquire the knowledge and certainty on the underlying causes in the subject.
