Craig Ferguson Tickets - Craig Ferguson Climbs The Late Night Ranks

Craig Ferguson beat fellow late night host Jimmy Fallon in the late night ratings for the first time in early November

. Whether it is because the Scottish comedian's brand of humor is fully catching on with American audiences or because he recently released a memoir is anyone's guess, but it means that Craig Ferguson tickets to see the host of The Late Late Show live will be going fast! Craig Ferguson will hit the road on tour in 2010, so head online for tickets!

Craig Ferguson's recently-released memoir, American on Purpose: The Improbably Adventures of an Unlikely Patriot, isn't his first foray into writing, as he penned a novel titled Between the Bridge and the River in 2006. Clearly inspired by his real life, or at least part of it, Ferguson's Between the Bridge and the River tells the story of a hard-partying TV star who becomes entangled in a sex scandal while on a road trip across the States.

Revealing that Ferguson's writing mimics the type of comedy one can enjoy each night when watching The Late Late Show, the Los Angeles Times offers the following self-deprecating snippet from his memoir. "I don't say this to impress you, but I was a bed wetter until I was around eleven years old. Then I stopped, but not for long," writes Ferguson before delivering the punch line.

"I started drinking alcohol regularly when I was in my early teens, at which point I returned to intermittent bed-wetting until I was 29. I haven't peed myself since the 18th of February, 1992, the day I got sober. Therefore I supposed I was a bed wetter until I was almost thirty. But I did stop before I was thirty, and I think my family and the people of Scotland should take a great deal of pride in that."

Ferguson describes his childhood, spent in a dreary suburban housing development in Scotland, as well as his music career as a drummer for a punk-rock act appropriately titled Bastards From Hell in American on Purpose: The Improbably Adventures of an Unlikely Patriot. Despite how naturally comedy seems to come to Ferguson, he didn't embark on a career as a funnyman until after his music dreams failed to come to fruition. After writing for a British sketch comedy series, Ferguson created the hilariously inappropriate character Bing Hitler and never looked back.

CBS tapped Ferguson to assume hosting responsibilities on The Late Late Show in 1999 after Craig Kilborn left the show. Although it took a few weeks of less-than-stellar ratings, Ferguson's impersonations of public figures like Prince Charles, Dr. Phil and Sean Connery eventually took off and his show was nominated for an Emmy in 2006.

Two years later Ferguson officially became a U.S. citizen, recalling in his memoir, "I proudly took the Oath of Allegiance and received my citizenship at Pomona Fairgrounds in Los Angeles in January 2008 along with three thousand other new Americans from Mexico, and no others from Scotland." It appears that Craig Ferguson is here to stay!
