Create Your Own Squeeze Pages - 3 Reasons to Do It Yourself
For many online businesses, having a good-quality squeeze page (or landing page) can make the difference between success and failure. Those who have money to spare can pay for a professional to create one but there's nothing like the feeling you have when you use your own creative thoughts to build your own. Just remember though, conversion is really key. That is, what proportion of website visitors actually sign-up on your squeeze page. We all know that traffic-generation is getting more difficult, so the last thing we need is a poorly converting opt-in page.
Here are 3 reasons why I believe the best course of action is to create your own squeeze page;
1. COST - paying for a professional touch can cost hundreds of dollars, or more! Unless you know someone who can do this for you at low-cost it really can damage your funds. Whereas creating your own costs only your time. I believe that your money should be spent on your marketing efforts.
2. DESIGN - ideally, you want to inject your personality into your squeeze page creations. If you pay for a designer to do it you may find that it is modeled on their previous designs so you don't always get the uniqueness that you want. There's nothing like a trial and error approach where you can see what you have in front of you and are able to tweak it bit by bit.
3. TIME - a good web page designer will probably have quite a few jobs in his/her schedule. If they haven't then maybe they are not very good after all. When you decide on a website theme you usually want to get on with it and have something quickly. Remember the old Internet Marketing saying, READY-FIRE-AIM. This really means having your page go-live quickly so that you can get some results and then start fine-tuning.
Creating your own squeeze page need not be so scary. You will find a very rewarding experience, particularly when you get your first subscriber opt-ins you know that is was worth the effort. And just remember, you can always get help to create your own squeeze pages.
