Creating An E-book That Sells!
"Fill Your Plate and Still Lose Weight!" was the first e-book I wrote
. It was a cookbook that consisted of complete meals for one and all under 350 calories per meal.
The second e-book I wrote was with a business partner. The book was entitled "Is Your Site Suffering From Lack-O-Traffic-Itis" and taught home based small business owners how to increase the visitors on their website.
What I discovered is that writing successful e-books for a home based small business can be done quickly and efficiently if you follow some simple guidelines. Below are some of the tips I learned to help the process move more easily in my own venture:
*Topic choice is critical - choose a topic that you know a lot about or have experience in. This will make the process easier.
*Use facts, figures, and other great content that your readers can use immedately.
*Provide additional free bonuses such as free tips, secret information, or special tips that provide over the top value.
*Add images, diagrams, photos and other visual aids to appeal to visual reader.
*Choose your fonts carefully - the simpler the better and easier to read.
*Write 30 pages or more to show that your book has value and helpful content.
*Hook your prospect with a catchy title.
*Testimonials add credibillity.
*Include extra ordering information should they wish to pass along to a friend.
*Provide a referral fee for those who wish to promote your book on your behalf.
*Use catchy graphics for your cover.
*Price it right. A study was done that showed the price of $7.00 as an easy to purchase starting price with little to no returns.
*Include links in your book for additional offers, upsells, or free information.
*Add a guarantee if you can. People appreciate a no-risk purchase if the book doesn't deliver.
*Create a professional sales page designed to hook your prospect immediately.
Writing e-books is a wonderful way to earn a living.
By positioning yourself as the expert in your field for your home based small business niche, e-books can also help brand you as the professional that you are.
