How to Get or Regain the Confidence You Need


Not only has the economy left many jobless, homeless, broke and confused, but the overall effect for many has been a loss of confidence and depression. It can all create a snowball effect making it very difficult to get that confidence back. For some, confidence is still a quality yet to be attained.

A very simple and easy way to establish or regain your confidence is by putting together a Confidence Journal. A Confidence Journal is a notebook that you can create and refer to on a regular basis to boost your confidence and remind you what you are capable of.

The Confidence Journal is a resource you can add to through the years and have on hand any time you have a down period in your life.


To create your Confidence Journal, you can start with a basic notebook or a nice leather bound or decorated journal to be used specifically for your Confidence Journal.

Here's a list of items I suggest for your Confidence Journal:

1.Everything you consider yourself a success at now or in the past.

2.Everything you like and admire about yourself.

3.Past and present accomplishments and things you are proud of.

4.Ways you can outflow your energy in positive ways.

5.Ways you can be good to yourself.

6.Compliments you have been given by others in the past.

7.Compliments you can give yourself.

8.Affirmations of how you want to use confidence.

It doesnt matter how great the success or accomplishment, as long as it was something that you felt you did well or succeeded at. You can also list challenges you have overcome at any point in your life that you didnt originally think you could.

If youre in an especially bad place right now it may be difficult for you to come up with things to list. If thats the case, then think back to a time when things were going especially well for you and stay there reliving that time for a while until you are able to come up with something.

Creating the Confidence Journal can be a fun project not only for adults, but for children and teens as a way to help keep them focused on the positive to build self-esteem and confidence.

Once you have completed your Confidence Journal, review it daily for at least a month and youll see a noticeable difference in how you feel.
