Crystal Ball: Assisting Seers For Centuries

The use of a crystal ball is supposed to help assist clairvoyant people with their ability to predict the future

. There are mixed feelings about the validity of this glass ball. Some people feel there is no real power behind one of these objects, while others believe whole-heartedly in them. It can also be known as a shew stone and commonly crafted from quartz.

Crystals were a big part of divination during the time of the Druids and later on during Medieval times. Later, the crystals were made into spheres and were used by sorcerers, gypsies, seers, fortune tellers, psychics, and wizards. These spheres not only showed the future, but supposedly the past and present as well.

When images are viewed in a crystal sphere, it is known as scrying or crystal gazing. The images viewed are interpreted by the seer and then an explanation is provided to the person seeking instruction. This information is used to steer people in the right direction for whatever purpose; business, love, marriage, finances, etc.

Some seers use the sphere as a method of opening up their mind. They don't claim to see any actual images in the glass ball, but they are able to channel information better by gazing into the ball itself. Concentration on the ball allows the seer to clear his/her mind and be able to better receive information for the person seeking his/her fortune.

There have been some instances where crystal gazing has been performed for the benefit of celebrities, as well as for stage performances. While some people see crystal gazing as a serious matter, others find it merely a form of amusement. Magicians have routines where they ask the audience a series of questions and a crystal sphere plays a part in this same act.

Spheres can be purchased from a metaphysical knick knack shop or on a variety of online websites that specialize in such items. The spheres aren't always made of quartz; some are leaded glass, Alexandrite, or various other eye-catching materials. These are often very impressive to look at and evoke a magical feeling.

People interested in using a crystal ball to predict their fortune can find plenty of books on how to go about doing so. There are also many people who perform predictions on a regular basis and often charge a nominal fee to do so. Seeking information from these people can be a way of life for some and a simple form of entertainment for others.
