Cubic Energy Inc., a crude oil andnatural gas exploration and development company operating primarily within the Haynesville Shale Play located in Northwest Louisiana, says providing 24-hour well flow rates to shareholders is the company's way of keeping those who are watching updated on the progress Cubic is making with their wells and Joint Venture partners. The Thomas 36 No. 1 well, which Cubic owns a 36% working interest in (representing the largest well measured by working interest, followed closely by the Red Oak Timber 6-1 well, for which the company owns a 35% working interest in), is posting a 24-hour completion clean up of 15,000 Mcfpd at approximately 7,000 lbs. of flowing casing pressure. What does all this mean? It basically means Cubic is on track and producing flow rates that are in line with management's expectations. One of the three operators in the Haynesville Shale Play working with Cubic, EXCO, released the flow rate figures. The other two operators are Chesapeake Energy and Goodrich. Calvin Wallen III, Cubic's President and Chief Executive Officer, states, "Again, Cubic's acreage position in the Haynesville shows its prolific nature and the viability of the reservoir. As development of our acreage continues with our Joint Venture partners, we are very excited about the growth and financial improvement we have already made and what the company could accomplish going forward."
