Daniel Radcliffe splashes out on home lighting

The Harry Potter star has reportedly spent 100,000 on making enhancements to his residence in New York. Part of the cash went on home lighting.

Currently, the star, who began his career in front of the cameras at the age of ten when he appeared in a BBC adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel David Copperfield, is preparing for a run in the Broadway musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

As well as his new light fittings, he is said to have bought a sound system and other party facilities.

Commenting on the home lighting and other improvements, a source told the Daily Star that they are part of a move by the young Brit to impress the ladies.

The insider remarked: "Daniel's flying out to New York for the musical and will let rip with girls as he is single and a long way away from his family and best friends.

"He's created a cool, stylish bachelor pad to bring home beautiful girls, when he wishes. He called in a fancy interior designer to create special lighting, soft furnishings and a banging music system, to get the party started."

The source went on to state that Radcliffe has now got an "absolutely amazing" house that will impress anyone who sees it.

While the celebrity may have spent a lot on his light fittings and other changes to his property, it is possible for consumers operating on a budget to source items for good value prices.
