It will be fair to say Darjeeling is the heart of West Bengal. The awesome weather and picture perfect scenery adds credits to its beauty. Darjeeling is one of the favorite tourist destinations of many because it's very different from other parts of the country and it proudly meets their expectations. A joy ride in the toy train, mesmerizing view of grand tea plantation and the great tiger hills can surely make one believe that this is a paradise on the earth.

Darjeeling faces five seasons: spring, summer, autumn, winter, and monsoons. Starting with summer season, this period often experiences moderate climate that lingers from May to June. The temperature reaches to the maximum level of 25 degree C and the minimum 8 degree C.

On the other hand, monsoon which starts from the month of July to September brings heavy showers sometimes causing dangerous landslides. This time is not considered as a peak season because major tourist adventure activities like trekking and mountaineering are stopped.

Meanwhile, winters are chilling cold and temperature remains between 5 Celsius to 7 Celsius (maximum) while mercury falls to even of -2 Celsius (minimum). The harsh winters are bone chilling cold and intolerable in the hill resort. However, if you are one of those who enjoy the chilling cold weather and want to have a chilly rendezvous with nature than surely it is the best time for you.
