Shri Mahesh Kumar, the founder of DIS is an individual with a sharply focussed vision to raise an educational institution of repute that nurtures the future citizens of our nation who would be able to shoulder their responsibilities with aplomb. His faith in the young student community as architects of a dynamic society sowed the seeds for the naissance of this school. His mission for DIS is to build an environment that maximises learning experience and inculcates values and ethics in children thus enabling them to evolve into complete human beings.

Words are insufficient as we write about our dear sir, who till date remains a true teacher, guide and philosopher of Delhi International School. Dr. R.P.Singhal has held various senior and responsible positions in his time from being the former CBSE Chairman to Advisor of World Bank. In April 2007, he was honoured with the "Life Long Contribution to School Education" award by the worthy Chief Minister of Delhi, Ms. Sheela Dixit. He is indeed the beacon of light inspiring us to toil for the noble cause of education. His lofty ideals and profound wisdom have been the motivating forces that have raised DIS on to a higher platform of progress and growth. Under his aegis we shall continue to surge forward striving for perfection and in pursuit of excellence.

The DIS faculty comprises of a group of highly qualified, experienced faculty, skilled in value- based teaching, with good communication and presentation abilities, dealing in all areas of child development viz classroom management, innovative and play way learning methods and much more to ensure that the stronger the start the greater the finish for every child. Our qualified and dedicated teachers impart education to our pupils with complete and selfless commitment and this certainly earns them with tremendous respect from their students and develops a special bonding with the pupils.

Home is as important a grooming ground as school and childhood is the most crucial period for learning. In order to achieve the all round development of the child maximum cooperation between the parents and school authorities is needed.
