Dell Streak - A New Hybrid Gadget Of Dell

If you want the portability of a smart phone but just cannot resist all the extra

trimmings of a tablet, you might want to consider giving the Dell Streak a look. With the Streak (or Dell Mini 5) you never have to compromise media playback capabilities or the connectivity prowess of an essential mobile phone. The best part is that it is able to sport a 5 inch screen while still being able to fit in your cargo pants pocket or jacket pocket.

Android devices are able to keep up with media, gaming, office and on the road connectivity demands. Because the Streak carries version 1.6 of the little green robot (upgradeable to version 2.2), users will be able to enjoy a myriad of apps and compatibility for third party technology such as Adobe Flash 10.1.

Display Worthy

The Dell Streak is not just an entertainment powerhouse, it also carries a super strong asset in the form of its display. The 5 inch TFT capacitive touch screen actually uses a technology called Gorilla Glass. This type of glass is scratch proof and crack proof even under really forceful, deliberate stabbing. For example, stabbing the Streaks glass display with a pen is more likely to damage the pen.

This type of device is definitely good for rugged outings, letting you focus on the things that actually matter instead of constantly worrying about the screen getting damaged.

An accelerometer is, of course, a feature of the display. This allows for the UIs auto rotate to portrait view or landscape view. Multi touch for efficient zooming is also included as well as an auto shut off via proximity sensor.

Photo Clarity

A front facing camera for video calls as well as a 5 megapixel snapper is built into the Dell Streak. Vibrant photos of up to a 2592 x 1944 pixel resolution may be taken. Because of the autofocus system and dual LED flash included in the package, you can be sure that it is going to be clear even when indoors or under low light conditions.

If however you are still not satisfied with the picture quality produced by the camera, you may utilize the image editor present in the tablet phone. For connectivity, the Dell Streak supports 2G networks, 3G networks and EDGE. For unlimited internet connectivity, Wi-Fi support is present. Bluetooth (version 2.1 with A2DP) is also built in so wireless accessories may be used and data backup or syncing is also possible.

For calls, you may want to use a wireless headset but if you ever use the tablet phone on its own, the voice quality is crisp and clear without any noise or feedbacks.
