Does paying more for your sunglasses guarantee you more sun protection, more eye protection? What are the benefits of paying the price for those designer sunglasses?

We all know we can go to the local department store, drug store or even a dollar store and purchase a pair of cheap sunglasses. Let's be honest, they're sunglasses, they shade our eyes from the sun. If that's the case, why do we spend more money for those designer labels?

Well, speaking for myself, I have tried on many sunglasses and honestly the quality in a more expensive pair of sunglasses was definitely noticeable to me. Whether it was the clarity of the lens, the frame construction, the durability, style or just the comfort level, it was definitely there. I felt it as soon as I picked them up. As much as I would have liked to say to you, nothere is no difference, I honestly, cannot say that.

You can also try this as well. Go purchase a pair of sunglasses from the dollar store. Go to the mall and go to one of those sunglasses stores. Start trying on the most expensive sunglasses you're interested in. You'll be able to go back and forth trying on and comparing each pair of sunglasses with your dollar brand. If you don't find a significant difference, you can feel happy with your bargin purchase. And what better way to come to a decision then being able to see and feel the difference first-hand.

On one hand, I do feel people like the attention a higher priced sunglass brand brings and maybe buy them for that reason. I don't think that's the best way to make a purchase, but to each his own. For me, it's more about the comfort of the fit and clarity of the lens.

If you're going to buy a bunch of cheap glasses and never get a good fit, or they're just not comfortable, you may just be wasting your money. You might just want to spend a little more money and get a better quality pair that you'll be happy with. You'll also be surprised how you actually take care of a pair of sunglasses you put a little more money into.

I haven't even mentioned the polarized lens, the 100% UV, UVB eye protection or metal frames. Adding these features may add to your purchase price. But again, to each his own, figure out what works best for you and your budget. But, what's the sayingoh yeah,.. you're worth it.
