Devotees Made This Happen - Says Madhu Pandit Dasa

ISKCON Bangalore Temple was inaugurated in the year 1997

. Initially it was operating from a rented apartment in the city with a handful of devotees. This glorious temple structure was constructed after a small group of devotees lead by Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa managed to get 7 acre- hillock from Bangalore Development Authority. Madhu Pandit says there was two aspect of the whole project. One was designing and execution of the temple and the other was gathering resources.

After conceptualizing the temple design the devotees started finding out ways in which they could collect funds for the temple construction. Many full-time devotees used to go out in the morning and meet different business communities in the city and request them to fund and become a part of the project. During that time a team of 15 to 20 devotees dedicated their life to raised funds for the project and made sure that the construction work would never stop. With their tireless efforts many people got associated with the movement and started donating to the project. Madhu Pandit Dasa pointed out that the Project did not receive any foreign funds, the people of Karnataka especially Bangalore made this a huge success with their humble contributions.

Madhu Pandit says that, ISKCON Bangalore temple has manifested from nothing. It is not just brick, cement, men and other resources but it is the interplay of the Lords compassion and mercy upon thousands of souls to come to face-to-face, realization with Him and His energy and His reciprocation.
