Automation has definitely changed the way we live our lives today. From waking up in the morning until we sleep at night, automation is always there. We can see automation almost everywhere. At home, automation can also be implemented.
One common example of home automation is the wireless controller system at home. If you have a gate which automatically opens when you arrive, that can be considered as one example of automation. Basically, that works because it has what we call Programmable Logical Controller device or PLC. This device is a computer chip which can be set to do almost any automated tasks and one of which is to open the gate if it detects that you are arriving or leaving the house. Alternatively, you can control it using a wireless controller.
Another is the home lighting system wherein we could set it so that it would automatically turn on during night times. Having automated lighting systems at home can save us a lot of money and help in the conservation of nature both at the same time. Automation enables us to create eco-friendly solutions which help us to live better lives.
Computers are also great examples of implementation of automation. With computers, we can do almost everything we could think of. Even if we are not at home, we can still monitor what is happening in our house through the use of internet (and of course computers). We can stream live video feeds of our home using cameras which are places in the house. This is great to monitor if there is somebody who is trying to get in our houses without our knowledge. If this happens, we can notify the police right away and apprehend those who try to steal inside our houses.
