Different Types of Videos You Can Use to Promote Your Business Without Expensive Equipment

YouTube is just such a powerful tool and it is something that I find a very large percentage of home based business owners aren't using to their full advantage. One of the biggest reasons that I hear is that people don't know what kind of videos to post or what to say. Marketing on YouTube is free and it doesn't take a lot of expensive equipment. If you have a computer and a camera you can make money using YouTube. Here are 4 different types of videos that you can make to promote your business on YouTube. Ideally you don't want to have a channel with just one of these types. You want to have a good mix of all 4 video types on your channel. That will make for the best YouTube marketing experience.... so here goes...

1. The commercial - This is the one that I see most often. people who just want to talk about what makes their business/product so great. There is nothing wrong with this type of video but it shouldn't be all you have. Sometimes it's good to just create a video talking about why you joined your business, what makes it so great and how you can help other people make money. There is a certain type of person who likes videos like these but I have found this specific type of video to be the least effective. Still... it's a nice thing to have on your channel so I wouldn't totally ignore it.

2. The company videos - These are videos that are produced by your company. They aren't going to be unique to you which is a bummer but they are usually well done and professional looking which is a plus. And if you're IN the company video... all the better! This shouldn't be the only thing you have on your channel but some people are looking for something like this so you want to have it on there.

3. The vacation videos - Most families take their camcorders on vacation anyway so why not make a video from the beach or the mountains or wherever you go next. So many home based business videos are in an office sitting at a boring desk. Want to make your videos stand out? Take short, fun, marketing videos while you're on your next vacation. It will really help you stand out from the rest.

4. The tutorials - Tutorials are one of my favorite ways of marketing on YouTube. This is because you're not blatantly marketing anything... you're helping people. You can make a tutorial on just about anything (as long as you know about it obviously). It's easy, it helps other business owners and in the end it also helps you. People will want to view your website or blog because they find you helpful and they'll keep coming back to check out more of your videos because if you help someone do something they're going to like you.
