Tiles are now almost certainly the preferred choice for bathroom walls, backsplash areas and in and around showers in Bathrooms. Ceramic Tiles are the most popular but Mosaic Tiles are now being used in bathrooms more than ever because of their design style.

Creating your own Mosaic Tile design allows for the creative side of you to emerge and the sky really is the limit when it comes to designs, colours and styles. A carefully planned out design can work as well as a design that has no structured pattern. Mosaic Tiles can and do work well with other tiles such as ceramic and you can use mosaic tiles randomly on walls and even on floors.

There are different types of mosaic Tiles, those being marble, ceramic and glass and all can be used in more or less whatever way you want. Mosaic Tiles can be placed together to form a pattern or picture or different mosaic Tiles can be used on borders or in a chequered or horizontal pattern.

Marble mosaics give a real natural feel to any bathroom and the variations in the colours with give a real earthy look and feel which makes them popular with homeowners, these tiles are particularly good for shower areas and around borders.

Glass Mosaics are colourful and will give a real classy feel, the glass mosaics are really good in backsplash areas and will enhance the look and feel of any bathroom. Lastly the ceramic Mosaic is the most traditional material and comes in a wide range of colours and designs. The art work on some of the Ceramic Mosaics is what appeals to home owners and they will give real atmosphere to any bathroom.

Mosaics are of course used in kitchens also and some use them in other rooms in the home. Mosaics are not a new concept but there are now more designs, colours and styles than ever to choose from.
