It will replace defective leased equipment without charging any cost except for shipping. It will not unwillingly enter a customer into an additional contract while replacing the defective equipment. In fact, it clearly let customers know when their contract is extended or they are into a contract. It is also mandatory on part of DirecTV to make consumers aware when they need to pay extra if they sports package. According to spokeswoman, Jade Ekstedt, DirecTV has improved its practices. Confirmation letters, advertising materials, lease agreements and e-mails are now written in a more clear script.
