Fayal ibn usayn; 20 May 1883 September 8, 1933) was for a short time King of the Arab Kingdom of Syria or Greater Syria (today Syria) in 1920 and was King of the Kingdom of Iraq (today Iraq) from 23 August 1921 to 1933. He was a member of the Hashemite dynasty, a descendant of the tribe of Muhammad.

Pachachi was Iraq's Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 1959 to 1965 and its Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1965 to 1967; he again served as Permanent Representative to the UN from 1967 to 1968. After the Ba'ath Party seized power in 1968, he spent a long period in exile. Since the 2003 invasion of Iraq, Pachachi has been an important figure in Iraqi politics, often described as Iraq's elder statesman.
