Even if your site is kept relatively private and you only approve certain people to view certain information, there are still methods and ways that people can sneak in the back door by using aliases and get approved as a friend or follower.

If the job is sensitive in nature, a simple background check done for free using the major search engines may not be enough. If the initial search doesn't turn up anything negative about the person, it may be then time to hire an online service to do a more in-depth check of the prospect. Be sure you understand the site's terms of service before hiring them to do the checking. You want to make sure that your credit card will not be charged unless there is in fact a successful Akram check performed on that specific person you are looking for. In most cases, these services will not charge a fee unless they are able to find information about that exact person and provided to you.
