As silly as you feel about it, it's one of the first thought that entered your mind once the shock of knowing wore off. Far too many women feel that the only reason their men would even think about cheating is that the other woman is somehow more attractive to him.
That's not always the case. In fact, outside of Hollywood films and steamy novels that is rarely the case. What happens more often than not is that the other woman gives him something he's not getting at home. It often has little to do with looks.
What's the Other Woman Offering that You Aren't?
It's a good question to ask and one that you need to know the answer to. At least, that's the case if you don't want to find yourself in this situation in the future. The other woman is giving him a huge ego boost.
The problem with being married or in a long-term committed relationship is that it breeds familiarity. You know each other better and you stop trying to impress him. You stop laughing at his jokes. You stop leaning on his every word. You stop being thrilled the minute he walks into the door.
Unfortunately, it shows. Even worse, he craves these things from you. He wants to feel as though your sun rises and sets on him. You used to make him feel that way. It's one of the reasons he fell in love with you. The other woman is making him feel this way now and it's definitely getting his attention.
But, what can You do to Keep him from Cheating?
The good news is that there are things you can do that will make him less likely to look elsewhere.
Flatter him with your words. Tell him how much you admire and respect him. Laugh at his jokes. Be the woman he fell in love with, the girl who worked hard to get his attention.
Flirt with him. How long has it been since you made the first move? How long since you've engaged in suggestive banter or whispered sweet nothings into his ears? These things are important to him and they let him know that you still think he's the sexiest man in your world.
Dress up for him. Take pride in your appearance when you go out on the town with him and when you plan to spend the night home together. This lets him know that you want to look your best for him
