Doing Cardio To Burn Fat
You know to do cardio exercise to burn fat, but now you need to know how to do it
. In short, what type of exercise machine should you choose at the gym? There are two general guidelines for determining which type of cardio equipment to use: Avoid machines that require needing too much coordination and make sure you do not risk injury by using the machine.
You should not have to pay much attention to maintaining good form on the machine. By choosing a simple machine, you can focus on maintaining a high level of intensity to maximize your fat burning. You want to focus on machines that keep joints and tissues healthy and strong, promoting fitness, not injury. No matter how bad you want to burn fat, you will hit a major obstacle if you get injured.
Keep in mind, there are numerous forms of cardio exercise that can be done. However, one of these five types of exercise will be your best bet to burn fat. Try one, or preferably all of them, to be successful.
1) Upright stationary bike: You can focus your energy on maximizing intensity because this machine is so simple. The bike is low impact, making it easier on your joints.
2) Recumbent bike: Just as easy at the upright bike, low-impact and simple. Choose this bike over the upright if you have lower back problems.
3) Treadmill: Running produces more stress on your joints than other machines, due to impact, but the treadmill is a good option instead of running outdoors, because of it being designed to absorb impact better than concrete. To maximize your intensity, raise the incline on the machine.
4) Stairclimber: This machine is low impact and provides an intense workout. Do not lean on the handles. It minimizes the amount of work you are putting into it.
5) Outdoor sprinting: Good for seasoned exercisers, sprinting is very intense, and great for burning body fat. Running interval sprints is best, but only do this if you are in good shape, and have previous sprinting experience. Sprinting provides fantastic fat burning results, but it is easy to get injured doing so. This method of exercise is extremely high impact.
6) Rowing Machine: This is more complicated than some of the other machines. You can do interval training on it, but you might not be as focused. Please avoid rowing if you have lower back problems.
7) Elliptical Machine: These are great machines if you have knee problems. If your knees are good, then do another exercise.
8) Swimming: This exercise uses nearly every muscle you have, it is very low impact. It takes a lot of focus to do high-intensity intervals, but I find it to be the best form of cardiovascular exercise there is.
Do not stick to one type of machine. Try something every new once in a while. For example, do one day on the treadmill, one swimming, and two on the bike, or some other fun combination. Doing this will stop you from getting bored, enable you to better recover from impact exercises like sprinting, and work out all your muscle groups. You will be able to burn fat quicker if you mix up your routine, so stick with it.
