The curse of drug addiction has affected and killed millions of people till today

. The worst part of drug addiction is that it cannot be stopped. You can stop a person from taking deadly drugs, but you cannot uproot it from the society. Govt. of many countries has banned several illegal drugs, but they still cannot stop the addiction. When any particular drug is banned, the addicts shift to another one. Nowadays, since most lethal drugs have been banned, the addicts have started taking the legal ones, better known as the medicinal drugs like the sleeping pills, anti-depressants, painkillers. Since, these medicines constitutes a major part of the medical sector, they cannot be banned. This substance abuse is increasing every year at a large rate; people of varying ages are getting addicted to these medicinal drugs.

Addiction to these medicinal drugs occurs in two main ways, either it is intentional or accidental. Accidental cases of drug addiction are really unfortunate, but people, who try these drugs for days intentionally, can easily be blamed. The accidental cases of prescription drug addiction have been seen at a large extent. When a person suffers from any type of ailments or insomnia, the doctor prescribes such medicines, and when these medicines are used for a long period of time, the patients get deeply dependant on them, which gradually lead to addiction. Once a person gets addicted to any kind of drugs, he or she loses mental stability. They isolate themselves from everyone and stay close to the drugs.

There are several noticeable symptoms of drug addiction, following which you can understand whether a person is addicted to any type of drugs or not.
