EDosh CEO unleashes a social media education centre for the eDosh community - Get yourself ready!
edosh CEO Steve Weiser talks openly of the journey that led him to conclude that classical retailing is definitly on the way out and that selling with social media or should I say living in social media is not just a fad but the way of the future. In fact edosh CEO does not consider that it is the way of the future alone, but a way of the present too. I must say that it is stimulating to hear a CEO speak so honestly about how his established strategies went out the window as his understanding of the real market and capability of social media on the eDosh busines grew.
If you read the other articles in the edosh blog it becomes very evident that their CEO is passionate about his business and it's core principles which appear to be Community, Transparenc, Honesty and Integrity. For those who infer that network marketing or MLM companies are not legitimate (which I do not consider to be the case) I think that this guy will change your mind. In one of his articles he speaks of "legitimate, reputable, established network marketing companies" and talks of their positives and negatives and why eDosh CEO chose this model for the eDosh business.
One of the supreme differences that these blogs highlight is that wereas most if not all MLM companies sell a product or service, edosh sell savings - which is a fairly neat thing to sell. Although this is neat, the supreme thing that this article points out is that edosh seems to have spent serious time effort and cash on creating social media educational products and services that it promotes to it's members. I think that a lot of firms should take note from this and start to think a little outside the square when it comes to social media.
Something I find pretty encouraging is that it is not often that you can get a group of a few hundred people to work with you on your model to perfect it over a period of 18 months and still have them smilling and wanting more at the end. he purposly tested the edosh model on a group of australian members of the public for two reasons. firstly as the australian public are a lot more forgiving and likely to provide feedback during such a long beta testing phase. And secondly australia is one of the most highly regulated country in the world, and he wanted to develop a model that would pass the strictest restrictions.
holly molly, something I almost forgot, check out the totally outside the box ideas on social media business. I mean in one of these articles the edosh CEO speaks of sending $1,8million on social media marketing and having his members benefit from this. I am probably jumping around too much between the various articles.
I know I will be watching this company with bated breath to see where this up-and-coming edosh CEO will take this company. Will this guy be the next Mark Zuckerberg who knows, but I do know that I was a betting man, my money would be on a big fat YES!!!
Maybe another good chat should be, who will be the next Zuckerberg. What do you guys think? I welcome emails and discussions :-)
