EZ Saver Diaper Pails and Reward Programs Both Help New Parents

There are a few things that hospitals should tell all new parents before discharging them, including the value of an EZ Saver diaper pail. Sadly, they don't really say a whole lot about how much those dirty diapers reek and leave parents to discover that unpleasant fact for themselves. They really should have a financial counselor on site too, to outline the long list of expenses parents face. Everything you can do to set money aside for those never ending expenses (car seats, cribs, bottles, diapers, clothes, toys, etc...) not to mention the huge looming expenses like a college education, would be helpful. My husband and I started up an Easysaver bank account, for example, based on advice from other parents.

Attention new mothers and fathers. Do you remember what a ripe diaper smelled like at the hospital? Of course not! They whisk those things away and dispose of them so fast your head will spin. There's a reason for doing that, a reason we discovered within the first day of bringing our newborn son home. Diapers that sit around will stink up a room -and a house- something fierce. One of the first things we did as parents was to ditch the diaper pail we'd bought, ordering an EZ Saver diaper pail instead. Instead of using those expensive twist plastic bags that other models rely on to seal in odors, the Easysaver uses regular plastic trash bags. The key to odor defense is a tight seal on the lid and a built in odor-absorbing disk that prevents you from being overwhelmed by nasty smells.

And speaking of overwhelming unpleasantness, we quickly discovered that being a parent is expensive. We're running out and buying things every day and we never seem to have money to set aside for the bigger cash outlays we know are coming down the road. One of our friends let us in on the secret of Easy Saver rewards through our bank. It really is clever. Whenever we buy something using our credit card, the bank rounds that purchase up to the next dollar and deposits the difference in our Easysaver bank account. So, if we spend $15.40 on diapers, $16.00 is transferred from our checking account to cover the credit card purchase, with 60 cents of that deposited into our EZ Saver account. The bank even matched our deposits by fifty percent for the first month. It doesn't sound like much, but it adds up.

Perhaps now you can see my fixation with EZ Saver. Stinky diapers or painless saving, it's all an important part of any new parent's learning curve.
