This is an easy way to rid ourselves of the common commercial items and products sold at your local store that can contaminate your breathing environment. If you have pets or children, this is an important factor to consider to keep them safe and prevent sickness. There are several home products that are readily available at your disposal to get cleaning job done.

Many large commercial cleaning companies do not want you to know that you can make your own cleaning products because of the potential loss they can incur from house and apartment owners educating themselves on the subject.

One of these simple items is a steam mop. This is a perfect way to clean your hardwood floors easily and does the same job as any toxic chemical. Steam cleaning can be just as effective as any other cleaning product and the best part is that it can be reused over and over.

Non-Toxic Cleaning Kit

All you need is Baking soda, Washing soda, White distilled vinegar, A good liquid soap or detergent, Tea tree oil, clean spray bottles. Put all these ingredients into a spray bottle and shake.

Window Cleaner

1/4-1/2 teaspoon liquid detergent

3 tablespoons vinegar

2 cups water

Spray bottle

Put all these ingredients into a spray bottle and shake.

OVEN CLEANER

1 cup or more baking soda

Water

A squirt or two of liquid detergent

Put all these ingredients into a spray bottle and shake.

ALL-PURPOSE SPRAY CLEANER

1/2 teaspoon washing soda

A dab of liquid soap

2 cups hot tap water

Put all these ingredients into a spray bottle and shake.

FURNITURE POLISH

1/2 teaspoon oil, such as olive (or jojoba, a liquid wax)

1/4 cup vinegar or fresh lemon juice

Mix the ingredients in a glass jar. Dab a soft rag into the solution and wipe onto wood surfaces. Cover the glass jar and store indefinitely.
