Technology has really affected our lives. It has both made it better and worse. Just look around you. Can you imagine what you'll see if you were to look 20, 40 years back? I bet you wouldn't see many skyscrapers, any flat screen TV, touch screen cellphones, and many more. And I'm glad to inform you about a new addition to the already-long list of new discoveries, the Ebill.

What is Ebill? Ebill is a shorter term used to refer to electronic bill. It is a paperless system of invoicing and paying through the use of the internet. When you have set up with a bank or firm where you would pay your bills to, they will just send you your bills through the internet and in the same way, you would pay them using your bank account. This is used in paying just about everything- electricity bills, water bills, telephone bills, internet connection, cable connection, or in purchasing stuff online.

Another concern is how to set up an account with Ebill? Signing up is very simple. All you need to have are the three major requirements they ask; an internet connection, bank account, and email address. Then, the next thing to do is to follow all the instructions given by the website of the bank where you want to set up. Once you are already signed up, check the transaction page in which you will be instructed to fill in something like the amount that you need to pay and set up a schedule of payment. Another option to have is to authorize your bank or credit union to just automatically pay your bills. By this, the amount that you need to pay each month will automatically deduct to your bank account.

What are the advantages? This type of billing or invoicing has a lot of advantages especially to those who are too busy to even attend to simple tasks like paying the bills. They will not anymore fall in long lines for a long period of time just to pay for a single electricity bill. This also applies to other institutions who have decided to join the campaign for paperless billing especially during enrollment period. Instead of waiting for days just to pay for your tuition and other fees, if you have a bank account, you can easily transact through the internet.

Another good thing about this innovation is that it saves paper. If everyone adheres to this type of payment, we will be able to save hectares and hectares of trees. We all know that papers came from trees and so in having paperless business transactions, we are also fulfilling our responsibility to save Mother Earth.
