On the other hand generalised hyperhidrosis occurs when the excess sweating happens all over the body or in a very wide area. It is not centralised to any one or two areas.

The disorder can be hereditary as well as it can be something that you developed throughout your years. When it is a result of genetics, it is referred to as primary hyperhidrosis and when it develops and activates on its own, it is referred to as Secondary hyperhidrosis.

The first and simplest remedy comes from antiperspirants, which contains the active ingredient of Luminium Chloride. This ingredient suppresses the sweat glands and reduces the amount of sweat that is emitted from the applied area. Similarly, there is an injection that can be administered to the affected area, which inhibits the production of sweat by disabling the sweat glands, but the results of this lasts for a much longer period. Usually, this lasts for at least 4 months and can range to maybe 9 months, depending on the area that the injection was applied.

There are additionally, aticholinergic medication that is used to reduce the effects of hyperhidrosis and one of the most popularly utilized ones is the Oxybutnin, which can be considered as a name brand version of Ditropan. The side-effects are however overwhelming to some and as such they choose and alternative method. Ditropan XL, is however a less effective version, but with also less side effects as it is time released.
