Education FACTS Relating to Education Leads
In fall 2009, 18.4 million students attended colleges and universities around the country. This was an increase of about 3.1 million since fall. 2000. More and more people are becoming students as the economy worsens. Meaning Education Leads are becoming more and more popular.
7.2 million students attended 4 year colleges, 6.5 million attended 2 year institutions, and 4.4 million attended private colleges and universities. These figures are astronomical, and in the education leads business this means profit. For institutions and organizations, they are seeing applications on the rise as people decide to go back to school or attend for the first time. Classroom sizes are increasing, and its getting harder and harder to attend college in person. So, students decided to turn to online education where more than 4.6 million students took at least one online course in fall 2008. This is a 17 percent increase since 2007. Online education has increased in popularity drastically. Therefore, education leads have increased as well. Online institutions are constantly looking for new applicants; the online education industry has skyrocketed in the past few years due to its innovation.
More than a one-fourth of all higher education students now take at least one course online. Colleges and universities claim a 73 percent increase in the demand for online classes by students. In the industry of lead generation, as demand increases for education, so does the supply of education leads. Therefore, as supply increases, the demand for education leads also increases. The industry as a whole is booming right now due to the decrease in economic wealth. As the United States economy comes to a halt; education begins to soar. There are many industries that don't require a college education, however most do. When an economy busts, competition for jobs increases dramatically. Who do you think employers will choose first? The individual without a college degree, or the one that has a college degree? The answer is simple, and this is why people are rushing to the books. Employers don't care how much experience you have if you don't have a college education they won't hire you. With the unemployment rate so high; everyone wants to get a better education to get a job. This is why we are seeing such a high increase in enrollment in colleges.
In online education, we are seeing a huge increase in popularity also due to the economy. People in their mid 30s and 40s cannot afford to go on campus for hours per day. They have families to support and have to work 40 hours a week. Therefore, online education is the only possible way to get a degree. It is convenient, easy, and clearly the better choice for thousands of people.
As online education and college becomes more and more popular today, the increase of education leads becomes apparent. At Underground Elephant, our education leads are fresh, and we only provide quality.
