Educational Charity: The Solution to Poverty
Educational Charity: The Solution to Poverty
Everywhere in the world, there is poverty. Even in the wealthiest of countries, poor communities still continue to exist. After all, even in the oldest of times, the needy has always been a permanent fixture in society. So what does one do to help them? The common answer to this is to give them some food or money. However, though this is a noble thing to do, wouldn't it be better if they are taught how to make these things available for themselves? This is why educational charity is important.
Education is very valuable in the improvement of one's life. However, even if there are public schools and free schooling available for the less fortunate, there are still some expenses that they have to think about if they are going to start attending classes. Some of these include the costs of the books they need to buy, the transportation fares they need to pay for, and the amount of money they should allot on food. This is why so many of the less fortunate do not study. When people cannot even produce enough income to nourish their hungry stomachs, why would they even bother to spend on other things? Thus, in order to help them, donate to an educational charity. These institutions provide financial assistance in all aspects of the scholastic growth of those in need. Whether it is help in tuition fees, food and transportation allowance, or support in buying books and other materials needed in the learning process, these organizations were created to answer to this purpose. So rather than giving alms to the poor, lead them instead to these agencies and tell them all about how much better their lives would be if they just choose education over begging and soliciting funds from those more fortunate than they are.
Think of it this way, if you can give the blind the power to see again, wouldn't it be better than always having to help him or her out when he or she has to do something or go somewhere? The same thing applies to improving the economical status of the destitute. Thus, educational charity reallyis the solution to poverty. Handing out money to beggars may ease their hunger for a moment, but that certainly won't be enough to improve their lifestyles. However, once they are educated, they will have the means necessary to alleviate their living conditions as well as the knowledge they need in order to help those who are still facing the troubles they used to have.
