Effective Speaking
"Words have incredible power.
They can make people's hearts soar,
or they can make people's hearts sore."
Dr. Mardy Grothe
It's quite simple. Say what you have to say and when you come to a sentence with a grammatical ending, sit down
-- Winston Churchill
There are three things to aim at in public speaking: first, to get into your subject, then to get your subject into yourself, and lastly, to get your subject into the heart of your audience
--Alexander Gregg
It's not how strongly you feel about your topic, it's how strongly they feel about your topic after you speak.
--Tim Salladay
The other very important thing in life or when running a business is being able to use effective speaking. Being effective while listening is step one and being effective when speaking is the second step to being a great communicator and an effective businessperson.
Speaking is really relatively simple once you have the confidence. Speaking is not hard and everyone has the confidence to do it but not everyone realizes it. The first step that everybody has to do is to build up confidence and just go out and speak regardless of how many people are listening or whattype of situation they are in.
Successful people in business and in multi-level marketing have confidence when they speak and they use the proper words in order to grab the attention of the audience. People who are afraid or who do not speak with confidence are the ones who do not succeed in business because most people will not have confidence in doing business with a person who is not confident about themselves or their business in the first place.
People who are confident and who are not afraid to speak in any situation or under any circumstances are the ones who gain peoples' attention and trust and they end up succeeding in business due to the fact they their confidence helps build up the confidence of others.
After you have built up the confidence to be a successful speaker and businessperson the next step is to use the right words and put them together the correct way in order to get your point across with excitement and without confusion. If you use the wrong words or talk too much you will end up confusing people or turning them off.
Winston Churchill's quote explains this really well that after you have said your point them stop talking because then you will confuse people more and talk them out of your business or yourself. This relates back to the topic of keeping it short and simple.
Finally you have to get the point of your speech into the hearts of your audience and that is possible using the right words to help them after you have done your job as an effective listener. After you listened you should speak in a tone and in a selection that will interest the people or person you are talking to and for your business or service you have to find the right words that will get them excited about having you and your business in their lives.
People who make others feel strongly about themselves, their business or their topic after they listen are the ones who are the most successful communicators and leaders to their concern to say and do the right things to win the trust and business of others!
