Efficient Packing For Charter Buses

When packing for a trip, it's always wise to pack as efficiently as possible -whether you be traveling by airplane, train, or charter bus

. It does not matter if you're staying for a weekend or two weeks, you will sorely regret your choice of a hasty packing job. You might end up paying extra for the added weight or find that the luggage does not fit quite as well in the storage as you hoped. Not to mention, it's just a real pain to carry heavy luggage. And when it comes time to open that luggage or backpack, it will be a nice messy treat for you to sort through.

It really pays to be organized sometimes. For people traveling by charter bus, you are fairly limited with space. Even a spacious charter bus can only offer so much room. It's better to pack lightly anyway. You won't feel so held down by the extra weight. If you can fit everything snugly into a backpack, even better. This is obviously a viable option if you're only going away for a weekend.

I know many people, women especially, like to over pack -to the extreme. Think about what you really plan on wearing. Just take one or two pairs of pants and a few tops. Don't pack a dress if you aren't going anywhere fancy. Use the one pair of shoes you're wearing. It's okay to pack an extra pair of undergarments. I actually recommend it. Always fold clothes neatly. The "roll method" tends to work well and you can fit a lot of clothing in a small bag that way.

I'm sure you'll want to pack a few items to keep you occupied on the charter bus. Thankfully most people have smartphones and you can do a variety of activities on the phone to keep you occupied. With so many devices that do multiple things, it's easy to just pick one. People with the new Kindle Fire can surf the web (if they have Wi-fi), read a book (naturally), or play games. Same goes for people with an iPad. If you can keep the laptop at home, you can enjoy more room in your bag.

The important tips to remember are to only pack what you need and to pack neatly. It's easy to shove everything in the bag, but it won't be worth it in the end. Put the effort in the beginning and it will pay off in the end on your charter bus trip.
