Being busy and tired does not necessarily mean you are getting anything accomplished. A good example of this would be a hamster in his cage running full out on his spinning wheel is creating a lot of activity but no productivity. He is running a remarkable long distance while not generating any kind of progress.The following are 4 things you can do to avoid time-wasters and become more productive in your life.1. Have a number of things you need to complete daily. Priorise your list from the most important to the least so that you accomplish the maximum possible for your efforts even if you run out of time before finishing the list.2. Avoid interruptions, trivial items, junk mail and unnecessary phone calls. This is harder than it sounds as there are countless people wanting to get your attention on their priorities and problems each day.3. Schedule brief breaks during the day, giving yourself a few minutes of distraction, ideally taking a walk, or even reading a magazine or phoning a friend can make all the difference to your productivity for the day.4. Get in the habit of relegating everything on your list to one of the following three outcomes: accomplished, rescheduled to yet another day, or decided to be of so minor relevance it can be abandoned completely.You are the most important commodity in your home business and personal life.
