Today, the consciousness improvement of environment issues and the benefits of sophisticated technology vehicle have raised concept and market need of electric car back.

Electric car have capability to reduce city pollution by its emission of carbon dioxide which is almost zero because its do not use fossil fuel as its moving energy. Electric car use battery energy to activate its electric engine.

Electric car mass products in the future are wished having a great impact in automotive industry. Some given advantages are the reduction of pollution and the dependence of oil. A newest report said that in 2020, electric cars and cars with environmental friendly technology will take a third of global car total selling.

At LA Auto Show car exhibition 2010 in Los Angeles in the past, it is mostly dominated by the prototypes of electric car which are environmental friendly. One of many automotive companies which took so much attention is Toyota.

Toyota Motors, which have $ 50 million of share in Tesla, show "RAV4 EV", which is a version of all-electric car, smart utility sport RAV4 car, with Tesla electric motor technology.

Actually, Toyota which is the Indonesian best ideal family car (mobil keluarga ideal terbaik Indonesia), in 1997, has introduced RAV4 EV (Electric Vehicle) for the very first time in California. Not long afterward, Toyota starts city electric battery-small commuter vehicle program which is called e-com. E-com program is aimed to mobility with more reachable price than RAV4 EV.

However, this program was stopped because the market, consumer, and environmental mind at that time were not ready yet for electric car using.

Toyota has decided to bring lithium-ion BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) small commuter back again to the market in 2012.

With the improvement of battery technology as electric motor main energy supply, the world hope that electric car will produced massively soon to take over fossil fueled conventional car today. So, the earth will be green again and reduce green house effect which has reached concerning level today.
