Be aware that some spam filters will automatically dump emails with certain words in them - one being the word FREE.
3. Leave out the too good to be true claims.
Let us face it the too good to be true claims have been over done so much so that most people now ignore them. That said it is not a good idea to make claims that your business can not keep in either the headline or email body. People today look for things of genuine value to them.
4. Think profit before selling too low.
Most customers like discounts and some love big discounts. But unless you have some other reason for selling your goods below your breakeven point and thereby selling at a loss then it may be waste of time not to mention money in sending that email.
5. Send emails with useful information.
If you have some information that you think is of use to your subscribers send them a quick, short informative email. It is a good idea to occasionally send them emails with bad information such as alerts about scams in your industry. Keep them informed with a regular newsletter about new ideas and developments in your industry. Maybe add a special deal for those subscribers who regularly read your newsletter.
