In today's modern culture, people are open to single parenthood and proof is an increasing number of single mothers in our society

. Raising a child alone is difficult because mothers have to take care of their child, run the household and earn money at the same time. To be able to earn enough money to provide the child's basic needs and decent education, mothers have to have at least a college degree to take care of her responsibility in the family and at the same time, have a career that would expand her skills and talent.

Single mothers also have the right to education even they face a lot more responsibility. These responsibilities are not an obstacle for them to be able to go to college and get a degree. The only thing that hinders them to go is the lack of funds to pursue their education. It is a known fact that without further education, the equal rights given to women would be limited at points where salary is limited, owning a property would be difficult and their child's future would not be secured. To solve this problem, single mother scholarship through grants or loans is available to make education possible.

At some point, some would find the criteria for single mother scholarship to be difficult but all it requires is the will to pursue a continuous education despite of a full time responsibility as a parent. But to think of it, the time and effort that single mothers would dedicate studying would pay off as soon as they find a job fit on the degree they finished. As a woman, a single mother would also be empowered to make wise decisions when it comes to the well-being of her family.
