Russian Ksenia Sukhinova – The Most Beautiful Woman on Earth?

She's from Siberia, she's 23 years of age and she's still studying cybernetics at Tyumen State a university devoted to the study of Oil and Gas

. These resources are rich and plentiful in the Siberian region where Ksenia lives, and gaining a degree from Tyumen is a shrewd move for any career minded and intelligent Russian.

But this girl has much more to offer than her future expertise in fossil fuels. She won Miss Russia in 2007, and by 2008 she had been crowned Miss World. Last year the Russian Eurovision committee made sure that one of their rising beauties hadn't been forgotten, and Ksenia's face introduced each and every song in the contest.

Shehas a soft voice, and her words appear fluent and eloquent. She devoted her victory to each and every citizen of my country... and to my grandmother' Well chosen and honest words from one so young.

The quality of contestant for the Miss World competition was particularly high in 2008, however Ksenia's fine genetics brought her to first place, even winning the Top Model competition and placing well in the Beach Beauty section (Yes, it's when organisers find an angle to ogle at the contestants in Bikinis) Judges ruled that the blonde haired babeand blue eyes had the edge over a wealth of stunners- including Parvathy Omanakuttan the Bollywood babe from India, and even Gabrielle Walcott from Trinidad and Tobago.

So is Ksenia the most beautiful girl in the world? Is she even really the most beautiful girl in Russia? I would say no. I would suggest that Ksenia represents a large section of girls from Russia, who are highly educated, genuine, and very easy on the eye to most men. The parents of many young Russians such as Ksenia must be commended (especially the mothers), because they raise their children to be humble, grateful, intelligent and family orientated. Russian Supermodel Natalia Vodianova is the same- her looks and money have not changed her- she remembers her humble beginnings in life, and knows an honest day's work.

I'm sure you can guess that I think that young Russian women are special. I think Ksenia deserved to win in 2008 and I was delighted for her, but I don't overrate shows like Miss World, shows that are rather sensationalised and where nepotism could play more than its fair share in determining the outcome. It's entertainment, but let's face it- It's just show business. Don't get too hung up on or idolise the sheer overall package that is Super-Ksenia. As I said- she is a tremendous ambassador for a huge country that contains a wealth of such beautiful women.
