Choose your guests. Your guests should be limited to family and close friends. No need to invite all your officemates or your clients! You can do so in your wedding, but it's a big no-no for engagement parties. It is an intimate affair and should, therefore, be for family and friends only.

Choose a memorable venue. Choosing the perfect place is paramount. The place should be meaningful and memorable for both of you. It could be in the pub where you first meet, or the restaurant where you first dated. Or you can have your engagement party where he popped his proposal!

An engagement party is more of a family affair, the union of two families. So, get everybody, from your niece to your grandmother, dancing to great songs performed by an awesome live band.
