You will need to buy a modern 3D television set. Some of the older models available in the market may have compatibility issues with the current 3D technology. You will have to do an additional hardware upgrade to make it compatible to watch the 3D movies. Many brands like Samsung, LG, Panasonic etc have launched a wide variety of 3D television sets in the market. You can visit your local electronics store and the pick up the TV set which appeals to you the most.

3D Glasses:

Some companies offer free 3D glasses along with their television sets. You can also buy them from the market separately. Get more than one pair if you want to experience the thrill of 3D together with your whole family.

3D Compatible HD DVR:

Order a DVR from DISH network which has the capability to deliver 3D signal. The VIP 922 is one of the DVRs which support 3D viewing.

3D Cables:

You will require a high speed HDMI cable to transmit the 3D signal from your DVR to the television set. Cables with signal strength of 10.2 Gbps or higher will work just fine with the 3D pass-through technology installed in the 3D television sets.

You can enrich the 3D experience further by installing some additional equipment in your home like a home theatre system compatible with the 3D pass-through technology.
