Things are not always what they seem. It hurts to watch from the outside, it only leaves me wondering why? It is not innate in me to be a player, perhaps because I cannot handle to adrenaline fuelled tension of the game .I find some things better left unsaid and memories better abjured.
We often do things we so want to believe that none deserves an explanation, but the bitter truth is that there is that some one who deserves to know why we do what we do. Jake, a friend of mine is an addict to sex. He gets laid whenever he wishes and the story is a wrap...life moves on. He is convinced no body deserves an explanation for the hit and run.
Melanie fischer,a freshman at koeln valley college woke up to the bitter fact that she was all alone, miles away from home and the people she loved. To her, college was an experience that taught her values, yet not much discipline. Melanie had awakened in the heart of the night with the sudden vision that she was deeply and desperately in love with Hans stoeber, and could hardly bear another day without him. A ray of light spelled through the curtain and trailed warm fingers across her face. She swallowed hard and locked her jaw as tears pricked her eyes. She set her feet on the cold floor, ready for the real college Friday.
From the first time, Melanie's eyes met those of Hans in the miniscule hostel reception, theirs was the confusing kind of attraction gentle, slow, easy and consuming. Hans was a hot-to-trot guy. Seated on low stool, it was evident that he was a tall guy. He was high boned with a long nose. He looked at her with a penetrating gaze. His curly, bushy hair and indomitable spirit obsessed Melanie and she wanted him with her. She hated to fall, prey of despair. She wanted someone to talk to, but found none she could trust. Two and half men in Hans room had done the trick before she was sure it would once more. All she wanted was to stay indoors and nurse her infatuation, but that was no solid idea.
A typical koeln valley college weekend began on Thursday. The so-called out goers had their game rolling from then till Saturday. Markus' club was the place to be at the beginning and end of the semester. Hans and other freshmen were on their way out. Melanie up and counted followed. The atmosphere at the club was rather somber, considering that five people had occupied the dance floor. The music cascaded through the walls of Melanie's heart like the Amazon through the Atlantic. Compelled to dance yet found it rather difficult when sober. 'A shot of vodka, please,"she asked the barmaid. She swallowed on the vodka and winced against the burning sensation that trailed down her throat. "two more shots pleeeasee,"the liquor had kicked in. It sent her winding to the dance floor. Hans was not much of a dancer. He preferred to watch the action.
drawn by his emotions ,Hans ,followed Melanie to the couch where she had been sitting. He had been hoping for something yet he was unsure. He grabbed her hand and pulled her over the couch and cast her upon it. He clutched the arm and stared down upon her. She turned away from his gaze. "don't you want to kiss me" he asked blankly. His fingers threaded into her hair, his mouth moulded slowly over her own. A curious warmth filled her .heat swept from the liquid of his tongue to her lips. His lanky body pressed hard to hers, as insinuative as the stroke of his tongue deep within her mouth. His tongue in and out left her breathless.
He freed his hand from her hair and vigorously cupped her breasts. Melanie protested by pushing his hands away. He parted her lips to hers ,and she sat still to his touch. From that point on she thought she would never gather the courage to face him. Unfortunately koeln valley college was rather small and there was a possibility of bumping into him at least twice a day.
She convinced herself that she had done nothing wrong; she did not wanted to awake in despair and denial the following morning. Constantly tried to free herself from his spell. She cold not live with the fact that Hans had found some one else. Elaine Fugerson, an exchange student from the united states. Melanie tried hard to forget Hans but memories constantly haunted her.
One fine Friday night at Markus's she met a fine looking guy from Belgium...it was mini oktober Fest, the club was congested and Melanie was looking for some good company; but all she got was Carlos Reyes after her. She had known Carlos ever since high school and he was bad news. Melanie had spent half the night eluding Carlos. Soon her dream came true, she met Damien Deschanel.he was about six feet six..,black curly. "perfect height," she thought. In her struggle to free herself from Hans' spell, she discovered that Damien was Hans' friend, making the situation worse.
Hope spread out its hands towards Melanie. Hans phoned Melanie that day, he had hoped she would act according to his wishes. On their second encounter later that night ,Hans grabbed her hips and brought her slowly down upon him. when he began to feel her, she suddenly resisted. "Don't you like me?"Hans asked painfully in a thick German accent. Melanie said, "in the real world that I live in, people make out all the time and pretend anything ever happened. Life goes on. Besides why attach myself ?I thought you dated Elaine. Sorry I have a boyfriend". there was no obligation of intimacy. She got up, slummed the door behind her and Hans was history.
