Ex-Truck Driver Becomes a Home Business Success

When I was 29 years old, I got my class A commercial drivers license and headed out to drive over the road. I did that for 4 years, had fun and made good money at it. After 4 years of that I came home and took a local truck driving job delivering gasoline. I did that for 10 years and then I started to develop neck and back problems. Those problems got so severe that I just could not drive a truck anymore.

Fortunately, I had a little money saved up so I could pay my bills while I looked for something else to do that was going to bring home the bacon. I looked for another job for about 3 months but everything that was available involved some sort of physical labor, and with my neck and back problems I could not do any of those jobs.

So, one day I decided to try my hand at internet marketing. Now I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but over the years I had heard people from time to time talk about home based businesses on the internet and how they were having great success and how this was the next big thing.

Needless to say, I took my lumps for about the first 2 years, falling for all those "Get Rich Quick" schemes. A lot of those look attractive but lets face it, they don't work. So after a couple of years falling for that junk, I sat back and regrouped. I bought some e-books, I started to subscribe to courses from people that I knew were successful with home based businesses. I learned all I could and applied it to my business. I'm still learning, everyday there is something new that I pick up on.

It turns out, I made the right decision by going the home based business route. All that hard work paid off, I have now become successful with my home business.

If your one that is looking to start an internet business, and if at first your not seeing the results that you want, don't get frustrated. Hang in there, if an ex-truck driver can be a home business success, so can you.
